History

Present day

The product range, as well as the international sales activities are continuously being expanded. TENRIT is one of the world's leading manufacturers of vegetable processing machinery. Meanwhile, the seventh generation of the family is working in the company.

1963 - 2009

Carl Friedrich Tenge-Rietberg takes over the management of the company. Assemblies for the food industry are being produced from now on. In 1993, the first utility model was registered for the asparagus peeling machine that would become a great sales success in the following years.

1918 - 1962

The First World War leads to significant economic cuts. Harald Tenge joins the company in 1924 and succeeds to manage the business even after the Second World War. In 1962, the last cupola furnace tap takes place.

1896 - 1918

Dr. Harald Tenge takes over the management of the company and transforms the company from an ironworks to a machine factory. The product range now includes among others drum beet cutters, chaff, seeders and threshing machines.

1892

The 50th anniversary of the company is celebrated. Not only ovens and cookers are produced, but also agricultural machines such as cutting tools for root vegetables.

1848 - 1890

In 1848, an enamelling workshop was added, in 1864/65 a machine workshop and from 1890 the ironworks were able to perform nickel plating. In 1865, the brothers Carl Christoph and Carl Friedrich Tenge take over the management of the company.

1842

Friedrich Ludwig Tenge founds an ironworks. Raw iron is extracted from a blast furnace and processed in cupola furnaces into cast iron. The first product range are mainly stoves.
